Nicolas Love on Love Island

Nicolas Love will be joining Love Island Australia, ready to turn heads and steal your gal. The blue eyed Sydney-sider is the first ever Australian Islander to be recruited directly through Tinder, as the world's most popular dating app came on board as the official casting partner of the show. 

Set to shake things up in the Villa, Nicolas (22) from West Ryde, is not one to shy away from attention - just check out his selfies on his Insta handle: @nicolas.lovee.

Nicolas has been selected from many Tinder members who applied for this year's Love Island Australia through the app. This process attracted hundreds of thousands of applications from across Australia.

Aussie Tinder members are clearly fans of the show, with mentions of "Love Island" in Aussie Tinder member bios increasing by 2.5x between October 2020 and October 2021.

Nicolas is excited about his stint on the show, sharing that he'd love to find a serious partner on the show. He says, "I signed up for Love Island to challenge myself and to step outside of my comfort zone. I'd love to meet someone, because I'm the best me when I have a supportive partner". 

This bombshell news further cements Tinder's Partnership with Love Island Australia, with the app recently launching 'Swipe Island', the ultimate virtual Love Island Australia experience, available exclusively on Tinder every Monday night during Love Island Australia Season Three.

Why have you signed up for Love Island?

To challenge myself and to step outside of my comfort zone. I'd love to meet someone and I'm the best me when I have a supportive partner.

Tell us about your job?

I manage luxury yachts on Sydney Harbour and organise and run all types of events and functions.

Who have you got your eye on in the Villa?

So far Courtney has caught my eye.

Will you step on toes to get who you want?

If I feel that the situation is right then I will.

What do you think you will bring to the Villa?

 A different energy, competitiveness and a happy vibe.

How would your friends / family describe you?

Overall happy and energetic person that loves life and loves his family and pets. Can be an idiot sometimes but always has a good heart.

What's an interesting fact about you / something people should know?

I've loved building computers since I was a little kid. I'm a nerd at heart.
