Odessei They Say

Odessei They Say

Brisbane-based electronic artist Odessei returns with new single 'They Say', an energetic five-minute journey fit for a euphoric night in the club.

Taking influence from Australian peers Hayden James, Slumberjack and Golden Features, 'They Say' is a bass heavy, dancefloor-filling masterclass in tech house. Odessei (real name Christopher Mahon) combines his talents for percussion layering and earworm riffs with added 90s-inspired techno flare to create something that "pushes people off the couches and to the dancefloor," as Chris details. Motivated to promote happiness wherever possible, especially when it may be in short supply, Odessei simply hopes "that when people hear 'They Say' they get an overwhelming feeling telling them to get up and groove out," he continues.

'They Say' is Odessei's first release of 2020, following previous singles 'Never Let You Go', 'In These Arms', 'Feel The Roof', and his 2018 debut 'Pose, Snap, Instagram'. In the live scene, Odessei has played across the east coast of Australia and scored support slots on Slumberjack's 2019 Sarawak tour. The past few months of lockdown has prompted Odessei to delve into musical exploration and experiment with new styles: this track is not the last we'll hear from him.

In need of some stress relief? Look no further, Odessei has just the thing to get the good times rolling once again.
