Global smartphone brand, OPPO, joined forces with America's Next Top Model (ANTM) to officially launch Cycle 22 of the successful reality TV Show, at a star-studded premiere party in Los Angeles.
The event, dedicated to the art of taking the perfect selfie, was attended by international celebrities including Tyra Banks, Kelly Cutrone, Miss J and Yu Tsai, with Australian attendees including Isabelle Cornish, Angela Bishop and Jasmine Howell (Friend in Fashion).
Guests were welcomed on a unique OPPO 'green carpet' and given the chance to use the new range of OPPO smartphones to snap high-resolution photos and capture all the glamour and style necessary for a true fashion photo shoot.
With the first show airing tonight in Australia on Fox 8, the new series of ANTM will feature OPPO smartphones throughout, including a challenge where photographer Massimo Campana uses -Expert Mode' to create professional-looking headshots. The models will also use OPPO camera features such as -Double Exposure', -Beautify' and -Panorama' to complete various -selfie' challenges and the top two contestants will travel to Southeast Asia as OPPO brand ambassadors. In addition, viewers will experience how the first hearing-impaired contestant of the show's 22 cycles utilises a special app to communicate on the show.
'OPPO's smartphone technology is very impressive and we were able to use the phone in many more ways than anticipated," said Ken Mok, Executive Producer of America's Next Top Model. 'The OPPO phone quickly became an integral part of this cycle - not only helping the models with their challenges but also in various aspects of communication."
The OPPO R7 series, which launched in Australia this week, embodies 'style in a flash" and is a natural fit for fashion professionals who desire a high-quality smartphone camera for their on-the-go lifestyles. With an elegant all-metallic unibody, Ultra-HD image quality as high as 50MP, and a host of embedded camera plug-ins powered by the Pure Image 2.0+ platform, the sleek smartphones are unmatched in both aesthetics and technical features.
