After consistently releasing music onto Soundcloud and finding his own unique style, trap/hip-hop emcee Pace is now debuting his first single 'Freak Ho' off his upcoming EP 'Hell Split Wide Open Vol.1.
Pace unveils a mature style in his songwriting and tonalities, showcasing the improvement from the catalogue of work behind him which has now positioned him to develop a sound comparable to a younger Tory Lanez. With an unapologetic lyrical front and a layer of auto-tune behind him, Pace delivers some catching melodies that he can leave a ringing in your head.
Freak Ho also boasts very strong production as Pace flows over a beat from the infamous CashMoneyAP who has worked with international artists including the Migos, Young Thug, SD, Chief Keef and many more. Pace fits perfectly with the style as his vocals appear to effortlessly fall in time on the trap tempo. This single was written and recorded in Pace's bedroom studio and then sent over to Hungary where his friend Adam Xycore finalised the mix and mastered the single.
Question: What inspired the song, Freak Ho?
Pace: It was about a wild European girl I met in Melbourne who loved house music.
Question: How would you describe your music?
Pace: I really don't know I just do me; I would say new wave hip hop although I have a lot of different music to come.
Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?
Pace: I'm yet to play a show but like I'm so keen to play people my music live. I love recording though, of course, I record all my vocals myself. I have my head around all the effects so it's sweet to just be able to mix it up with my voice by myself depending on what the song needs.
Question: What motivates you most when writing music?
