E! Turns Up the Heat on New York City's Culinary Scene With New Series 'Playing With Fire"

E!'s new series focuses on the tastemakers of New York City's culinary scene as they rub shoulders with Manhattan's social elite. The series showcases the personal lives and high-powered careers of chef/author Candice Kumai, restaurateurs' Derek and Daniel Koch; chef/Boyardee brand Ambassador Anna Boiardi; and executive pastry chef Julie Elkind. The stakes are high for these driven professionals, and their laser-like intensity often wreaks havoc on their relationships.  'Playing with Fire" premieres Tuesday, August 27 at 8:30pm AEST only on E!

Meet The Cast:

Candice Kumai
Candice is a chef, food writer, TV host and former model. An advocate of healthy eating, Candice is a published author who aims to keep foodies' waistlines trim with her calorie-conscious cuisine.

Daniel and Derek Koch
Identical twins Daniel and Derek got their start as male models, then quickly transitioned to the New York food scene, making a name for themselves with their boutique events and hospitality company, Dual Groupe. While the brothers don't always see eye-to-eye, they are busy expanding their business by opening permanent locations for their -Day & Night' brunch parties, and organising a star-studded opening for their club Toy in one of the city's hottest neighbourhoods.

Anna Boiardi
Anna is an Italian-born, New York socialite, cookbook author and brand ambassador for her family's prominent Chef Boyardee company. With an unrelenting passion for food, Anna is busy building an empire of her own with the aim of bringing traditional Italian cuisine to consumers' kitchens in a simple way.

Julie Elkind
At just 25-years-of-age, Julie is already a successful pastry chef with a concrete plan on how she sees her professional and personal life follow an upward trajectory. Julie's Type A personality doesn't mesh well with her actor boyfriend Kyle's relaxed take on life.

Actress and bakery owner Jennifer Esposito, who lives with Coeliac disease and is an advocate for Gluten-free cooking, will also make appearances in the series, as will celebrity Chef/Restaurateur Todd English.
