Cool off and kick back this summer at the Pop Up Park. The free Wyndham City event will transform Station Place into the destination for summer fun, with live music, an outdoor cinema, food trucks and more.
From 19 January to 25 February 2018, the Pop Up Park will be open Monday to Saturday from 9am and on Sunday from 10am as a green city outdoor space for locals and visitors to relax in the sunshine, catch up with friends for a picnic brunch and entertain the kids with jumbo lawn games of chess, jenga or connect four – the perfect space to unwind and break-up those long summer days.
What's more, each weekend brings a free and exciting line up of music, movies and food. Friday Nights from 5pm – 10pm will bring free live music to the city centre, with a headline of Australian artists including the ARIA award winner and Werribee local Anthony Callea, the super smooth Nathaniel, the festival favourite Lior and more.
To top off each Friday, the licensed bar is the perfect opportunity to "wine" down, cheers to the weekend for a night of live music under the stars. Why not grab an early dinner in town, order to go or pack a picnic from home and enjoy your meal alfresco style to the sounds of the supporting acts. On Saturday Night, the Pop Up Park will be converted into an outdoor cinema, complete with beanbags, popcorn and a free double billing of movies, including a kids' flick to start and a cult classic to finish.
Spread out the picnic blanket, bring along dinner and settle in for a season of free outdoor movies under the stars. Families can make the most of staying outdoors with a family flick screening at 5pm each Saturday featuring Sing, Babe, Despicable Me, and more. And for the movie buffs a second screening at 7.30pm will showcase a mix of comedy, action and feel-good classics including The Labyrinth, Dirty Dancing and more over the six weeks.
Sunday Afternoons will be a leisurely affair, with an assembly of food trucks bringing the best in street food to Werribee City Centre.
Make it a date with friends and loved ones, grab a spot under a shade umbrella, lounge in a deckchair and treat your tastebuds from 12pm – 6pm every Sunday with a rotating line-up of food trucks and local food vendors.
Whether it's a catch up over coffee, a space to entertain the whole family or date night – the Pop Up Park is the place to spend your time this summer season with friends and family.
