Dear Fiona,
I am 13 yrs old and a practising (learning each day) witch. My Dad just got re-trenched from his job and I would like to do a ritual/spell to help him find another. Can you please help me? I am desperate to lift his spirits and aid him if I can. My mum is a witch also, and Dad supports us 100%, so I would like to show him that our faith in Wicca and his in us is true and positive. Fiona, I know that you can help me, as I have read your books and I love what you do. You are an inspiration to me and I can't wait for you new book "Life's a Witch" to come out on Nov 1st. I look forward to your reply to my request for help. Blesssed Be.
Signed Caitlin.
Hi Caitlin,
Thanks for your lovely words! Blessed Be* to you and your Mum and here's a spell to help your dad.
Do this spell on a Thursday to take advantage of Jupiter's strong and fortifying presence.
You will need:
angelica tea (for good fortune)
a gold candle (for positive male empowerment)
an orange candle (for courage)
cinnamon powder (good fortune and passion aligned with male energy)
clove powder (prosperity)
a photo of your dad
his permission to do the spell
Light the candles and place the photo of your dad between them. Sprinkle the cinnamon and clove in a sunwise (anti clockwise in the southern hemisphere) around it as you say:
'As pure as the light of the candle flame
so is our desire to help and inflame
the desire of this good man
to receive a magickal helping hand.'
Now sit quietly and meditate for a little while on your dad getting a great new job, or having a lovely break, feeling good about himself and his future.
When you are ready and the vision is strong, hold your hands towards the photo projecting those images and positive energy into it and say:
'So is our desire
so shall it be
for the good of all
So Mote It Be'
Snuff the candles, relighting them every night and repeating the ritual for seven nights, by then the situation will have improved.
Have your Dad drink angelica tea sweetened with a little honey twice a day to help him feel better.
