Get your jazz hands in the air as the most sparkling Australian comedy of the year hits DVD.

Jump off the lounge and get ready to join in with the most outrageous dance school mockumentary of the year - Razzle Dazzle.

From the producer of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and starring Australian movie legend, Kerry Armstrong, Razzle Dazzle is a thoroughly satirical peek behind-the-scenes of the glitter and glamour of the captivating world of children's competitive dance, available on DVD now.

Expertly directed by Darren Ashton, Razzle Dazzle follows the colourful journey of two opposing dance schools, as they battle it out for success on centre stage at the Grand Final of The Sanosafe Troupe Spectacular, the most prestigious dance school awards of the year.

Armstrong (Lantana, Seachange) plays the skilfully observed but hysterically pushy Justine, stage mum of would-be child star Tenille, (Shaynai Notelovitz) a 'jazzketeer' at Mr. Jonathon's Dance Academy. Pushy is illustrated nicely with Justine's classic line "Tenille has so much in store, she could open a store. She's an Ikea of talent."

The academy's namesake - Mr Jonathon - drips with satire in a stellar performance by British comic actor Ben Miller. Mr Jonathon is a wacky, wayward dance teacher fighting off the hot competition of fives times Grand Final Winner Miss Elizabeth, played by Jane Hall.

Defying all traditional dance school convention, Mr Jonathon provides the audience with real laugh out loud moments as he demonstrates his motto of education through dance. His political beliefs come to life through the eager jazzketeers, who tap and sashay their way through acts on everything from the plight of women in Afghanistan to child labour.

From the sublime to the truly ridiculous, the two opposing dance schools battle it out all the way to the Grand Final, with truly hilarious results. The movie is a rollicking journey of glitter, sequins and flesh-coloured fishnets that's interjected by some unexpected cameos including that of pop legend, Leo Sayer.

Packed with high energy, a colourful cast and comic scriptwriting at its best, invite the cast of Razzle Dazzle home on DVD to laugh your way through the emotional highs and lows of this dazzling dance show spectacular.
