Well known shoe brand, Rollie is thrilled to announce its yearlong partnership with the McGrath Foundation, launching the first capsule from the collaboration series in October, in line with Breast Cancer Awareness month. The quirky and fun range of shoes will donate a portion of proceeds to the McGrath Foundation, and the help them provide support to individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.
Three new designs will launch as part of the first capsule – the Derby Titty Committee; featuring colourful boobs in all their beautiful shapes and sizes, the Derby Lady Form; a black shoe with white outlines of different boobs, and the Derby Punch Pink Lady, a fittingly hot pink shoe with punch hole detailing.
This capsule, along with the yearlong partnership, aims to raise awareness and encourage conversation across Australia by removing the stigma around talking about female body parts, including boobs. Rollie wants to empower all women and encourage them to check their breasts and share their stories. Breast cancer affects the lives of every single man and woman in Australia.
To further support the McGrath Foundation, Rollie is excited to launch "Her Story", a platform for women to speak openly and candidly about their experience with breast cancer and give the advice they wish they had throughout their journey.
Kerryn is one of the first people to share "Her Story". A nurse who is just shy of 2.5 years post diagnosis, Kerryn transitioned from nurse to patient in a number of days. While she had a great support network of family, friends and medical practitioners including a psychologist around her, her oncology nurse didn't have the same.
"I think there needs to be so much more funding to support nurses", Kerryn says.
Rollie hopes to inspire women to share their stories, start conversations and most importantly raise awareness for breast cancer, with the hope to raise much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation through sales of the new range. Rollie is determined to help individuals just like Kerryn by ensuing they have access to a McGrath Breast Care Nurse and all of the other resources the McGrath Foundation supply.
Rollie shoes are sold worldwide and are available online and in over 200+ stores across Australia. The range will be on sale at www.rollienation.com and selected boutiques at the end of October.
