Romance Was Born

Romance Was Born
Rapunzel and Princess Leia inspired looks set the runway ablaze as Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011 kicked off with a bang in May. Feminine, yet edgy looks dominated the catwalk for Romance was Born, as soft lace contrasted the geometric lines and metallics.

Plaits were the core hairstyle complimenting this fashion forward designer's collection. To capture the out of this world Leia inspired look at home, start by parting your hair in a centre part, right down the middle of your head with the end of a tail comb. Then, secure hair on each side of your part in a low side ponytail with a thick snagless elastic. Follow by plaiting each ponytail right to the end before securing with a snagless clear elastic. Next, twist the plait around each ponytail to form a bun. Secure the bun with fringe pins, slide a fringe pin in every 2cm, working around the bun.

To let your hair fall just like Rapunzel, start by pulling hair into a super high ponytail and secure with a snagless elastic. Then, plait the hair in the ponytail all the way to the end of the hair, once you get to the end of the plait, divide into two ponytails with snagless clear elastics for a Romance was Born inspired twist.
