Rouge Magazine Australia
Issue one of Rouge Magazine is set to be posted out to over one million Australian households in September. The free title was such a huge success in the USA and Canada, that it was only a matter of time before development of the local edition was commissioned. Edited under the watchful eye of Australian journalist and social commentator Melissa Hoyer, the magazine delivers up-to-the-minute international beauty news, information and industry beauty tips and tricks.
Rouge Magazine also successfully launched its rougemag.com.au website last month, with over 60,000 subscribers already signed up in the first two weeks. For those who don't see the magazine, they can get all the information plus more at rougemag.com.au. Hungry for cutting edge beauty and health tips and tricks from around the world, Australian women will now have a one-stop destination for international trends, happenings and products.
Melissa Hoyer, Rouge Magazine editor says, "I am so excited to work on the very first Australian edition of Rouge. We're serving up some of the world's biggest beauty talents and we're delivering it straight to the doors of one million Aussie women!
"I've also had the chance to delve into some of the latest beauty research and interview some amazing local and international experts including colour expert Belinda Jeffrey and acclaimed author and journalist Sandra Lee."
Rouge Magazine Australian Plastic Surgery Findings
The lead article in the limited edition of Rouge reveals shocking statistics on Australian women's ongoing obsession with plastic surgery.
One in two (50.15%) Aussie women aged 18-60 have had or would consider undergoing cosmetic/plastic surgery to enhance their face or body.
Out of those Australian women who have considered cosmetic/plastic surgery, more than half (59.92%) would opt for a surgical procedure over a non-surgical procedure.
A surprising 1 in 5 (20.3%) Australian women think it is appropriate to undergo plastic surgery in your 20's. While 1 in 2 felt between the ages of 30 and 50 was more appropriate.
Melissa comments, "I'm surprised people seem to be starting as young as 20. Especially since beauty brands are continually evolving to provide non-surgical solutions to keep us looking youthful."
With her down-to-earth approach to style and pop culture, Melissa Hoyer's varied career in the world of fashion and beauty meant she was the perfect person to take the helm of Rouge. Melissa has produced and presented Fox Fashion, hosted Arena Style and appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway and Australia's Next Top Model.
