In the group exhibition SEA SHAPE, contemporary jewellery artists reflect on our relationship with the sea: what we take out, what we learn, and what we return. The exhibition explores socially relevant issues such as the devastating effect on sea life from discarded plastic, Australia's relationship with our pacific neighbours, resource rights, as well as great floating islands of plastic that are taking over our oceans.
The exhibition comprises of jewellery made from discarded plastics and marine debris in response to the shape of our seas. The exhibition runs from the 5th of July to the 21st of July with celebratory drinks and an artist talk on the 21st from 12-2pm.
