When Jessica Olson (Danielle Campbell) and her older sister Sara (Maggie Castle) embark on a family trip from their small hometown of Michigan to Los Angeles, they no sooner find themselves in the sparkling star-studded lights of Hollywood.

Sara is obsessed with gorgeous Hollywood pop star Christopher Wilde (rising star Sterling Knight of Sonny with a Chance), and so takes Jessica on the hunt to track down and meet the leading man face to face. However, unpretentious Jessica is not impressed with the lavish celebrity driven world and would rather go sightseeing.

On the search for her star-obsessed sister, Jessica has a chance encounter with Christopher and is reluctantly thrown into his rock-star lifestyle involving a Californian adventure with celebrity chaos, paparazzi madness and disastrous mud bath!

Although Christopher is seen around town with up and coming starlet Alexis Bender (Chelsea Staub), soon enough, he finds himself falling for Jessica's down-to-earth charm, with Jessica's feelings being reciprocated as she gets to know him better. Fearing the gossip magazines, Christopher asks Jessica to keep their developing relationship a secret but when pictures surface of Jessica and Christopher together and having fun in L.A, Christopher is forced to publicly deny their relationship.

With a heart-broken Jessica headed back to her home town of Michigan, Christopher must decide what's more important- being true to himself and his feelings, or becoming a Hollywood hero! STERLING KNIGHT talks on Starstuck

Q. What does friendship mean to you? And is it an important factor in your life?

STERLING KNIGHT: Friendship is very important. I hold friendship to a really high standard. It's something to be valued; it's something that's really special.

Q. What does it mean for you to work with Michael Grossman?

STERLING KNIGHT: It was fantastic. He's a very well-respected director. He helped me a lot, especially coming in to the process so late. It was great to have someone that I could trust and was on my side. We agreed creatively on a lot of the different things.

Q. Are you planning to visit Mexico someday?

STERLING KNIGHT: Absolutely, I've been to Cancun, Nuevo Laredo, Puerto Vallarta and Playa Del Carmen.

Q. What did you enjoy most about those locations?

STERLING KNIGHT: It's the people and the culture. It's beautiful country down there.

Q. How has your life changed since you filmed "StarStruck"?

STERLING KNIGHT: I've become a lot busier.

Q. Can you describe a normal day on the set?

STERLING KNIGHT: You show up at some location in the morning. Go have some breakfast, then off to the set. Talk about the shots you're going to do. You shoot for a good six hours and go then have some lunch. And then, go back to shooting some more until the sun goes down and/or you run out of things to do. You go home and do it all again the next day.

Q. Who is your favorite actress?

STERLING KNIGHT: I think Natalie Portman is phenomenally talented. I really like Scarlett Johansson, who happened to also be some of my crushes. There are too many phenomenally talented people.

Q. What are your future plans?

STERLING KNIGHT: Keep working, hopefully.

Q. Talk about your character, Christopher Wild.

STERLING KNIGHT: He lives this extravagant and ridiculous lifestyle and he really is a good person, but he just lost sight of what a sense of normalcy is.

Q. How did you start your career as an actor?

STERLING KNIGHT: I started off as a theatre kid in Texas. Then I realised there was a difference between theatre and film acting. And I wanted to learn a lot more about that. I started that process seven years ago and here I am.
