Iconic Wiltshire STAYSHARP™Range Reimagined
Aussie redesign modernises a classic whilst continuing legacy of delivering self-sharpening innovation and value for money
Wiltshire, a trusted Australian homewares brand since 1938, has today launched its redesigned STAYSHARP™ range. A staple in Australian kitchens, the new STAYSHARP range features the brand's iconic self-sharpening knives and scissors in an improved streamlined design. This makes them easier to store, safer to use and always sharp, while still delivering a true value for money experience that Australians have trusted in their kitchens for over half a century.
Wiltshire has worked with a number of Australian designers throughout the years to create and constantly build on its award-winning design. The Wiltshire STAYSHARP™ knives include the brand's patented sharpening system which over the years, has won prestigious awards including the Prince Philip Prize for Australian Design and the Australian Design Index Good Design label.
Adapting the design to better suit the modern home cookand time-poor Australians, Wiltshire worked with lead Australian engineer, mother and home chef Annette Plant, on making the new range more practical and efficient. Updating the design of the scabbard (case) so it's more space-efficient and easy to identify the enclosed knife; the sleek new design streamlines food prep in Aussie kitchens.
Addressing consumer frustrations of blunt knives making it difficult and dangerous to cut through foods easily, the knives are made from high quality stainless steel and feature a fully tapered blade for easy slicing. A quality range you can depend on for years of use, STAYSHARP™ knives also have a contoured handle shaped for a secure grip in the kitchen.
Staying true to demand, in 2019 a STAYSHARP™product sold every two minutes in Australia.
Review: I've had the same knives for a long time, and while I use a steel to sharpen, I still need to get them professionally sharpened by the butcher. The Staysharp Knife keeps your knives sharp just by tidying up. They come in a block as pictured below or individually with it's own sharpening sleeve, so you knives are always ready to go at their best. I really like the grip as well as the balance of the knife.
