Profile

Brother of Mark Waugh, Steve is a highly skilled cricketer and is the heart and soul of the Aussie cricket team. He has been competing in the International arena since the mid-1980s.

Steve was chosen back in the mid-1980s for his medium paced bowling and run scoring in the middle order. But now Waugh's bowling has taken a back seat due to back trouble, but his back hasn't stopped him from being one of the world's best batters.

Steve was the captain of the Australian one-day squad in the summer 1997-1998.

We are only a few weeks away from the Australian summer cricket season when we will see the Australian cricket team in all their action.
