Summer All Over Long Lunch

Tickets are now on sale for the -Summer All Over Long Lunch' – an annual fundraiser for Katie Rose Hospice to be held in the heart of Eumundi on Sunday 23rd March.

The event will kick off at 11.30am under the famous fig trees on the site of the Original Eumundi Markets. The luncheon this year is the first major community project of the newly formed Satellite Rotary Club of Eumundi.

This year's menu will be created by renowned chefs Max Porter and Peter Wolfe who have combined to form -Old Dogs new Trix' (Max from Native Sun and Peter from Cedar Creek Bush Foods).

Choose from Ocean Trout with a Steamed Prawn Bun and Blistered Beans or Basque Chicken with Chorizo and Pyrenees Potato and Salad Leaves. For dessert, drool over Passionfruit Tart Brulee with Pineapple Tutti Fruitti, or a Chocolate Terrine with Red Wine Raspberry Sauce.

Guests will be entertained by the smooth sounds of Noosa duo Linda and Lance; and will enjoy lucky door prizes, raffles, and an auction of all things quirky and cool.

Tickets are only $50 per person, with $25 (tax deductible) from each ticket sale going directly to Doonan-based Katie Rose Hospice to assist with their work providing terminally ill people with nursing services and support, free of personal cost.

Spokesperson Les Godwin says the event is a crucial fundraiser for the hospice.

'Guest numbers at the hospice have increased greatly this year, and costs are soaring – so an event such as the Long Lunch is of great assistance in ensuring continued complimentary service to guests continues"

Les advises foodies and supporters to get in quick as numbers are limited to 300 and ticket sales will close on Wednesday 12 March. 'Organise a group of friends or come on your own and make new friends!" he says.

Booking and pre-payment is essential. For bookings, payment details and further information, please contact Sue: 0416 215 877.
The event is BYO drinks – glasses will be provided.

The Eumundi Community Bus will also be available for guests residing in postcode 4562 as well as Cooroy, Tewantin and Noosa. When ordering your tickets, please advise if you wish to make a bus booking.
