August is Super Science Month at Scienceworks

Scienceworks is getting ready for a month-long celebration of science this August with a series of exciting exhibitions, programs and events as part of Super Science Month.

Super Science Month highlights:
Little Kids' Day in
A fun day especially for kids aged six years and under, their parents and carers.
Date: Monday 5 August
Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm
Cost: Included with museum entry
Age: Recommended for children not yet at school

The Aurecon Bridge Building Competition – Victorian competition
Come and see school students from all over Victoria competing to test the strength of their model bridges.
Date: Wednesday 7 August
Cost: Included with museum entry
Age: All ages
 
Discover the Night Sky – Melbourne Planetarium
Immerse yourself in the stars and enjoy a glass of wine and cheese as you explore the Universe.
Date: Thursday 8, 15, 22 and 29 August
Time: 7.30pm
Cost: $28 per session, MV members $23 per session, $96 for a season pass.

Inspiring Scientists
Find out about your favourite 'ology" by chatting to inspiring scientists in this careers expo with a twist.

BASF Kids' Lab
Experience the fascinating world of chemistry in hands-on science activities led by BASF chemists.

Australian Skeptics
Join the Australian Skeptics as they explore the science behind the paranormal – illusions, perceptions and magic tricks.

Rock Me Galileo
The performance Rock Me Galileo showcases Australia's contributions to global astronomy and features some of the most influential Australian astronomers including Professor Ken Freeman and Sir Douglas Mawson.

ANZAAS Kids Ask Scientists Questions
