The newly formed Sydney Chamber Opera will perform its second only work when it premieres a brand new Australian opera at Darlinghurst's historic Cell Block Theatre for an exclusive limited season in February.

Composed by the SCO's co-founder and Music Director Jack Symonds together with
playwright Pierce Wilcox, Notes from Underground is a bold new adaptation of Dostoevsky's most daring and wild novel of the same name. It will be directed by Netta Yashchin, whose work has also been seen at the Adelaide Festival and Belvoir St Theatre.
