During October 2010, Habitat for Humanity, the world's number one not-for-profit home builder, is asking all Australians to host a High Tea to raise much needed funds to build houses for low income families. The organisation has enlisted the help of the 'queen of High Tea' Jill Jones-Evans as the event's ambassador.
Hosting a High Tea for Habitat is very easy. Set a date in October that is convenient for you and your friends and colleagues and ask for a donation or sell tickets to attend. If you're a good baker, get into the kitchen, or, otherwise cheat and buy delicious scones, sandwiches or cakes! Jill Jones-Evans' book 'High Tea at The Victoria Room' is full of inspiring ideas.
