To celebrate the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup coming to the MCG, the National Sports Museum (NSM), in partnership with Shane Warne, has launched a brand new interactive program called Shane Warne's King of Spin Oculus Rift experience.
Undoubtedly one of Australia's most loved sportsmen, there is no better way to pay tribute to the cricket legend than by testing your batting skills against a virtual Shane Warne in the NSM from today.
Shane Warne's King of Spin Oculus Rift experience will transport visitors to the MCG pitch via a virtual reality headset.
The lightweight headset provides the player with 360 degree views, allowing them to seamlessly look around the stadium as they would if they were out on the MCG pitch in real life.
Every small movement is tracked in real time creating a natural and intuitive experience.
Oculus Rift headsets will allow family and friends to face two overs of the King of Spin's famously unpredictable deliveries and rack up their scores!
Shane Warne's King Spin Oculus Rift experience will be available to visitors in NSM Cinema Sport from now until April 18, 2015.
The activation will take place from Wednesday to Saturday throughout this period.
Open to everyone, here is your chance to take on 'Warnie", step up to the crease and have a go exclusively at the National Sports Museum at the MCG until April.
