' Very Gold Coast, Very Tania?
With Gold Coast Tourism in India to promote the destination to Indian holiday makers and business tourists, who better to talk about the white beaches of Surfers Paradise than Gold Coast resident Tania Zaetta?
Considered 'one of the first foreigner's to conquer Bollywood', Tania has carved out a career in the worlds biggest film Industry with 3 back to back films. Tania has enjoyed many years of success with TV shows like ?Who Dares Wins? being aired in India and has spent the past few 2 years living in Mumbai. The Indian population is also used to seeing the action girl on the beaches with ?Baywatch? re-runs constantly on Indian TV screens.
Tania, who was in India last week completing her current film project, and was called back to Australia for work commitments, missed out being a special guest at the Gold Coast Tourism event in Mumbai.
Gold Coast Tourism asked Tania to film a welcome message for them to play on the evening of the event to start proceedings and to capture the attention of the Australian and Indian Media with a familiar face to both countries.
Tania's message, filmed from the balcony of her Broadbeach apartment with the spectacular city and ocean views in the background, not only welcomed guests to the event but she thanked them for always making her feel at home in their country. She extended the invitation back to Indian holiday makers to visit her in Australia, promising that the Gold Coast held a variety of delights for all visitors.
Zaetta's name has become closely aligned with Australia as far as the Indian public are concerned. Prime Minister Howard said on his visit to India last year, 'Tania has helped almost single handedly educated Australians on the Bollywood Industry'.
Australian companies wanting to set up business in India, and finding out it's a difficult market to capture, regularly approach Tania to help out by lending her name, face and expertise to help access one of the worlds fastest growing markets.
Tania, who has always been a Gold Coaster by choice, purchased a waterfront Broadbeach apartment a few months ago. She is currently spending the summer working from her beachfront home in between her film shooting in India and her UK SKY1 prime time show "Mission Implausible".
