Hailing from the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and growing up in the suburb of Narre Warren has not slowed Tasha down in the slightest as she's been able to write, record and perform with a number of different artists in multiple different venues across the state, most notably performing at Let Go Fest. and as a part of St. Patricks Day, whilst also having her first official feature track signed to a label! This drive has allowed Tasha to build a reputation across Melbourne and allows her to gig 4-5 times a week.
Runaway Love tells a poetic story of hope and anguish, unveiling a complex reality of emotions that are involved with romance as Tasha sings "when your hearts had enough, I don't want to wake up, I runaway". With production and song writing also credited to the veteran triple Grammy award winning powerhouse MSquared Productions, this single puts Tasha in a very good position for her next single. Her airy and soothing vocals fall with an ambience similar to Halsey coupled with the quick and building production this song becomes very much a house anthem.
Question: How would you describe your music?
Tasha: Pop music.
Question: What inspired the song Runaway Love?
Tasha: I wrote this song during a really stressful time in my life it was a time were everything got so overwhelming, the demands of adulthood, responsibilities, time schedules everything piled up all at once and I just wanted to run away. It relates to people going through a hard time and trying to escape. The song also came together through a lot of self-doubt as a musician and trying to strive for perfection through my music and pushing back a debut release.
Question: What motivates you most when writing music?
Tasha: People, just wanting to help people who are going through similar situations and feel like they are the only ones going through it. I know so many songs that have helped me through some really hard times in life, I just want to do the same and help people feel better about their situations through songs.
