Tasmanian Heritage's Signature Camembert is an authentic Camembert made from an age-old traditional French recipe so the cheese develops a core and ripens from the outside in. This unique ripening process - similar to the way an avocado ripens, results in the cheese's unmistakable delicate flavour and creamy texture.
Each cheese has a rich, creamy centre and is covered in a soft white edible mould. Like all traditional soft white cheeses, it gets better with age and the best time to eat Tasmanian Heritage Signature Camembert is within two weeks of the 'best before' date. As the flavours intensify with age, this cheese can also be enjoyed beyond this date depending on personal taste.
