Question: Can you tell us about the Northern Cleansing Collection by Natura Siberica?

Jess: Winner of the Beauty Challenger Awards at Beyond Beauty (2014, Paris – as well as many other awards) this collection is based on herbs and berries from the Northern Siberian Regions – ingredients that have been used since ancient times and known to be rich in valuable oils and vitamins.


Question: What are the main ingredients used in this range?

Jess: Natura Siberica carefully studied and brought together the ancient recipes of the Northern Nenec, Selkup and Khanty tribes and created this unique facial cleanser and the rest of the Northern Collection.

Featuring a unique blend of herbs and berries, rich in valuable oils and vitamins known as the "Northern Collection" this is where the product name originates.

This Northern Collection consists of 8 highly active ingredients in additional to the key ingredient of activated charcoal:
• Organic Altai Sea Buckthorn (Oplepikha Oil)
• Limonninik Nanai
• Wild Harvested Siberian Pine Oil

• Extracts of Bilberry
• Organic Northern Cloudberry Extract

Question: Why did you decide to use charcoal as the main ingredient in your skincare range?

Jess: It can do such wonders for our skin and is a natural ingredient, so it makes perfect sense to incorporate it into our Northern Collection range. If you read the next question you will see how amazing charcoal is for our skin & the many benefits it has!


Question: What amazing properties does charcoal contain?

Jess: Activated Charcoal (or Carbon) has long been recognised as a potent natural treatment used to trap toxins. It works by binding other substances to its surface, drawing bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt, excess oil and other micro-particles to the surface of the skin, helping you to achieve a flawless complexion.

It is derived from coconut and nut shells which contain carbon compounds. The shells are heated to make a char (powder)then using steam in a furnace with the absence of oxygen the carbons are activated making the substance porous and highly absorbable.

It can absorb thousands of times its own weight due to its large porous area – one cubic inch of charcoal has the surface area equivalent to an almost 14,000m2 field, this is why just a little bit of charcoal can absorb so many unwanted toxins. WOW!


Question: Why should the charcoal deep cleansing face soap be a must in our bathrooms?

Jess: It is the perfect cleanser that allows for deep cleansing & a reduction in oily skin. When using the whole range you will love the results, texture, application and whole Northern Collection range! It is suitable for all skin types and particularly good for those with skin conditions such as acne and rosacea. In terms of frequency of use, we recommend twice a week for best results and to prevent the skin from drying out, less for dry skin and more for oily skin.

Question: What's the best way to wash our faces for a deep cleanse?

Jess: A Step by Step Guide on using the Northern Soap
1. Wet the sponge with water.
2. Apply the soap to the sponge.
3. Apply the soap to a dry face using the sponge, avoid the eye and lip area, massaging gently.
4. Rinse your face with warm water until all traces of the soap has been removed.
5. For best results use once or twice per week.


Question: What's next for Natura Siberica?

Jess: Did you know we already have over 800 amazing products from Natura Siberica to select from when deciding what to bring to the Australian market from Europe – but it doesn't stop there!

Natura Siberica is constantly developing new and innovating bath, body, hair and skin products. At the moment we are working on some great gift packs which will be perfect for Christmas!
