The Fantasea Harbour Hike

The Fantasea Harbour Hike is an annual event that takes place along one of the most picturesque, but least known walks in Sydney.  It is an event that brings together friends and family in the spirit of fun, fresh air, education, and exploration.

Starting at Kirribilli, the 12km course runs along the spectacular Harbour foreshore to Chowder Bay, taking in beautiful tree lined streets, hidden coves and beaches, and waterside walkways that provide magnificent views back to the city and Sydney Harbour.

Raising funds for one of Australia's pre-eminent marine research facilities, the Sydney Institute of Marine Science, you'll also uncover some of the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of Sydney Harbour, with SIMS scientists dotted along the course ready to answer any question.

The finish line is located at SIMS Research Facility, where hikers will be treated to a host of activities with SIMS interactive displays, kids activities, food stalls and an exclusive glimpse at the brand new SIMS Discovery Centre from 10.00am – 3.00pm.

All hikers are invited to take a free ferry ride back to the start line at Kirribilli thanks to major event partner, Fantasea Adventure Cruising.
