The Ruminaters is made up of four best friends. Jake, Jake, Teddy and Jarleth.
2014 saw the band release their debut record -"I Hate The Ruminaters", which received a lot of love from fans and the music industry alike, including support from Triple J, FBI Radio, NME Magazine, Monster Children, Tone Deaf and the AU Review.
Summer saw the band hit the road and tour extensively along the east coast of Australia. They played some of their largest headline shows to date as well as support slots for Sticky Fingers, The Growlers (USA), Bass Drum of Death (USA) and The Walking Who.
Their previous singles 'I lost My Grandpa's Teeth" & 'Long Hair is Cooler Than Short Hair" received high praise from radio stations across the country includingTriple J and Sydney's FBi.
'Gremlin in Black" shows a significant change in the development of their sound. This song was recorded on a secluded farm just out of Byron Bay. Steering the ship was producer and old friend Rohin Brown (The Walking Who, Angus Stone). The sessions resulted in a sound that marks a natural development for The Ruminaters, honing in their direction with progressive songwriting and performance.
