These cold mornings can only mean one thing... it's time to start training for Queensland's favourite fun run.

Entries are now open for The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane which is expected to have more than 50,000 people pounding the pavement on Sunday 29 August to ward off the winter blues and raise much needed funds for charity.

The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane is the biggest community sporting event in Queensland and in 2010 entrants are encouraged to Take Big Strides for Little Kids and support Autism Queensland's KidStart and Early Intervention programs.

More Queensland children will be diagnosed with autism this year than cerebal palsy, diabetes, deafness, blindness and leukaemia combined. Autism Queensland's programs will improve the quality of life for these children and their families.

The fun run is designed so that everyone from elite racers to Sunday strollers can participate, with runners able to experience the new Gateway Bridge on foot during the 10km course, while the 5km course keeps things a little closer to the ground.
