The Sydney Underground Festival is gearing up to launch its new program for 2010. With over 100 films screening over 9th-11th September the 2010 festival is set to be the biggest yet.

Participating films are being chosen from over 800 entries from filmmakers worldwide, including entries from filmmakers in the UK, USA, France, India, Iran, Cuba and South Africa.

Now in its fourth year, the Sydney Underground Film Festival is dedicated to nurturing an alternative film culture through the promotion of independent and experimental films. The festival seeks to support filmmakers who operate outside established film industry infrastructures, by providing a platform for exhibition, exposure and critical discussion.

Past Sydney Underground Film Festivals have included films from filmmakers including David Lynch, Larry Clark, John Waters and George Gittoes.
