As Katherine (Maria Doyle Kennedy) nears death, Anne (Natalie Dormer) is obsessed with her own future. Though George Boleyn (Padraic Delaney) cautions against doing anything to cause Katherine harm, Anne makes it clear to Henry (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) that she sees her as a threat. Meanwhile, Cromwell (James Fraine), Cranmer (Hans Matheson), and Boleyn (Nick Dunning) push for religious houses' wealth to be confiscated and transferred to the crown. Then, at Cramner's wife's urging, Cromwell enlists an army of mercenaries from France to forcibly rid the kingdom of Catholicism.
