One of the first in his graduating year at the Whitehouse Institute of Design to launch a fashion label, Thomas Hulston has opened the doors to his flagship store at 23 William St, Paddington. The young Australian designer is well on his way to making a mark in the fashion industry with his debut spring summer 2013/14 collection available in France at two boutiques and now at his flagship store and online.
With every piece made in France using the finest European materials including Italian leather and French silk, Thomas Hulston's introductory collection has received nothing but praise. It is affordable luxury that defines Thomas's design ethic and what consumers will find in his new William St store.
A beautiful palette of soft blue, cream, orange and chocolate combined with the signature sheer sandstone print feature across the collection of 21 ready-to-wear pieces. From a silk sandstone print scarf at $140 to a soft blue shift dress at $370 to an exquisite Italian leather jacket at $890, the collection has a wearable designer quality and design.
'2013 has been an incredible year for me. I debuted my first collection for spring summer 2013/14 alongside MBFWA and have now opened my flagship store in Sydney. I'm looking forward to showing my customers beautiful French made womenswear," says Thomas Hulston.
Not only will the flagship store offer the debut collection from this next generation Australian designer, but Thomas Hulston will carry Joanna Cave Jewellery. The Paddington store is the first NSW stockist for - A Girl Called Yoshimi', a Japanese flora and fauna inspired collection by the London designer. Joanna's elegant creations have garnered the respect and attention of the UK fashion industry.

Hailing from Sydney, emerging designer Thomas Hulston graduated from Whitehouse Institute of Design in 2011. After completing his Bachelor of Design and fulfilling internships at Bec & Bridge, Manning Cartell and Willow, Thomas realised this vision of starting his own label in 2012 with the launch of his first collection for spring summer 2013/14.
With an aesthetic based on quality stitching and beautiful fabrics like silk and leather, Thomas produces each piece in his collection in Marseille, France. Having travelled there each year since early high school to visit family, he developed a connection with the country known for its quality European textiles and it is a place he considers the fashion capital of the world.

Well known in the UK and Europe for her whimsical designs and her eco-ethos, Joanna uses a minimum of 90% recycled silver in all jewellery production, as well as ethically sourced pearls. All jewellery is hand-made in Greece by people who are paid fairly and love their job. Joanna regularly exhibits as part of -Estethica' at London Fashion Week and -Premiere Classe' at Paris Fashion Week.
Born in London, to a British father and Greek mother, Joanna grew up on the Greek island of Ios, where her mother is from. Her love affair with jewellery began as a child as she watched her father Hugh in his jewellery shop -Theros', which he still owns. Joanna studied jewellery design at Middlesex University after completing a foundation course at Central Saint Martins, and later interned with designer Scott Wilson before starting her own label.
