Titanic 3D: Ghosts of the Abyss provided a unique training ground for Cameron to learn the 3D filming techniques that he later applied to the highest grossing motion picture of all time, Avatar. With a team of the world's foremost historic and marine experts and friend Bill Paxton, Cameron embarks on an unscripted adventure to the watery grave where over 1,500 souls lost their lives almost a century ago.
