This Saturday, come down to the QVB from 10 – 4pm to see the incredible team behind Tri for Kids Cancer pedalling away to raise awareness of a childhood cancer cure! The team are three researchers at the Children's Cancer Institute Australia - Eddy, Guy and Jad, also known as the IronNERDS who aim to take the fight against childhood cancer from the laboratories to the streets.
They will be pedalling on stationary bikes in front of a makeshift science lab, wearing their lab coats, in preparation for a gruelling physical challenge this December, where they will compete in the Canberra 70.3 IronMan Race. Come and take a photo with the IronNERDS on their bikes, or explore the items inside our science lab display.
The Tri for Kids Cancer team aim to drive awareness, bring hope to children and families affected by cancer, inspire the future generation of researchers and raise much-needed funds to win the war against childhood cancer.
