Trial a Trade at William Angliss Institute

On Saturday 20th March, William Angliss Institute will once again open its doors to students from across Victoria, giving them the opportunity to experience life in the different sectors of the food and hospitality industry.

The Institute has teamed up with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival to offer 14 to 18 year-olds the unique experience which will give youngsters a hands-on look at what a career in their chosen field would entail, using the state-of-the-art facilities at William Angliss Institute in La Trobe St, Melbourne.

Budding chefs will learn their way around an industrial kitchen and hone their cooking skills. Aspiring confectioners will learn about the science behind the creation of their favourite delicious treats. The potential hoteliers, waiters, butchers and bakers of tomorrow will also be given a fascinating look behind the scenes.

The event costs $28 per head and is the ideal opportunity for youngsters to follow their passions, discover a career pathway or even realise a talent they never knew they had.
