Featuring 11 beautiful and effective products, Unico is the progeny of professional hairdresser, Sofia Basile. With 22 years in the industry, Sofia has been at the helm of the award0winning Unico Hair Salons for 15 years.

As the wave of support for a greener world has taken shape over the past decade, Sofia felt a personal drive to develop products that met her professional expectations and were 'home grown'. Beyond the overly commercialised international products, she wanted a product that was locally made, high performing in our native climate and based on a solid foundation of pure plant ingredients, vitamins and essential oils.

The result is the gorgeous Unico range, launched in late 2008. The range consists of:
Shampoo: Featuring beautiful aromatherapy fragrances, all are incredibly gentle on the scalp with exceptional cleansing qualities. Hair is restored to correct pH levels.
Conditioner: Matching conditioners designed for soft, shiny, manageable hair.

Maintenance Shampoo and Conditioner: Gentle enough for daily use and excellent for revitalising the scalp, without being too rich in moisture. Contains vitamins, rosemary, lemon and peppermint pure essential oils combined with plant derived ingredients. Keeps hair shiny and eliminates colour fading. Restores pH levels for naturally healthy, manageable hair. UV filters protect against sun's harsh rays.
Volumising Shampoo and Conditioner: Cedarwood, orange and ylang ylang pure essential oils combined with plant derived ingredients produce a unique formula designed to add body to limp, lifeless hair. Shampoo is also ideal for oily scalps and as a clarifier to remove product build up and chlorine. Conditioner nourishes without weighing hair down. Hair is left healthy with ultimate volume, body and shine. Contains vitamins to nourish and revitalise hair. UV filters protect against sun's harsh rays.
Sensitive Shampoo and Conditioner: Lemon, clary sage and lavender pure essential oils combine with plant derived ingredients to produce a unique formula designed to treat irritated, flaky and itchy scalps without any harsh strippings. Gentle enough for use on skin sensitive to dermatitis and eczema. Very moisturising; ideal for taming curly hair and for sensitive bleached scalps. Beneficial to use on very dry, coarse hair dehydrated from lack of moisture. Shampoo contains healing vitamin E. Results in shiny, vibrant locks. Conditioner may be left on as a treatment. UV filters protect against sun's harsh rays.
Intensive Shampoo and Conditioner: ideal for chemically treated hair and particularly suited to straight or grey hair. Lavender, rosemary and cypress pure essential oils combined with plant derived ingredients produce a mild formula designed to cleanse without stripping colour or natural oils. The result is soft, shiny, manageable hair.
Shampoo and Conditioners; RRP: $21 (available in maintenance, volumising, sensitive and intensive formulations)

Protein Treatment: the ultimate treatment to repair chemical (colour) and mechanical damage (hair dryer, irons etc) to the hair, and hair lacking moisture and shine. Sesame oil, cocoa butter and orange pure essential oils repair, while Vitamin H strengthens while restoring moisture. This unique treatment intensely moisurises, strengthens and rebuilds hair, while restoring healthy shine and body.

Leave In Spray-On Conditioner: A leave-in protein conditioner with a light apricot fragrance designed to protect and defrizz light, difficult hair. Adds shine and protects hair from the effects of mechanical drying, chlorine and the sun. Ideal for active people and for all hair types, particularly fine.
Leave In Spray-On Conditioner; RRP: $23

Hair Serum: A silicone based, fragrance free serum designed to seal natural moisture into hair, while adding gloss and shine. Recommended for all hair types and to tame fly aways. Use a few drops before and after heat styling.
