STAR WARS: Where Science Meets Imagination
Could cars that hover above the ground become the mass transit of the future? Will we ever have druids like C-3PO in real life? Fantasy and reality join forces in Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination. This is the first exhibition to showcase more than 80 costumes, models and props from all six Star Wars films.
Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination, presented by Bose Corporation, was developed by the Museum of Science, Boston and Lucasfilm Ltd. Starlight and Spaceflight autumn school holiday program
This autumn go on a journey through space. Find out the difference between a meteoroid, meteorite and meteor and touch the 680kg Cranbourne meteorite. Learn about the fastest thing in the universe, light, and make your very own swinging star mobile to take home and learn about some of the brightest stars in our sky. Find out about rockets and how you would get to the moon in the 20 minute Lunar Lift-off performance. Planetarium shows will also be showing daily.

Winning sky photos: the David Malin Awards
Some of the most spectacular photographic images of the Australian night sky are on display as part of this touring exhibition. The display features the winners and selected entries from the annual photography competition named after the world-renowned astrophotographer and competition judge Dr David Malin. Entries are judged not only for their technical skill but also their ability to capture the beauty of the sky and the intrinsic interest of astronomy. The images on display range from spectacular shots of the moon and a lunar eclipse, to constellations and nebula, star trails and the Milky Way.
Developed by the Central West Astronomical Society and toured by the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney

100 Hours of Astronomy
Take part in the International Year of Astronomy here at Scienceworks. All around the world, across six continents, people will be participating in 100 hours of Astronomy by looking through telescopes. You can join in by using a special solar telescope to look at the surface of the Sun, and have your astronomy questions answered in a Q&A session with Dr Tanya Hill, Museum Victoria s own astronomer.

Earth Quest - From Outer Space to Inner Earth
Take off on an intergalactic journey from the outer limits of the solar system all the way to the very centre of the Earth. Learn about our fascinating planet through more than 30 interactive exhibits ranging from astronomy, geology, geography, environmental science to biology. This exciting exhibition includes the Cranbourne Meteorite Number 13, free Earth Quest Experiment Zone workshops and a special mineral specimen display.

Mathamazing
Explore the mathematics behind everyday life! Mathamazing includes hands-on activities based on topics such as; shapes, probability, sequences and series, puzzles, problem solving, topology and building.
