The wonders of guides (guardian angels)

I would like to commence this column by sharing with you, a couple of my own experiences....

1. My father passed away suddenly a few years ago and at the time I was delayed from getting to his home. Because of this, I felt that I had never said goodbye to him properly and it weighed heavy on my mind. Some months later whilst meditating, I expressed this to my guide. The next night, I had a dream where I took a train voyage and at a station I saw my father waving to me. I got off the train and walked and talked with my father through a beautiful garden of flowers, trees and birds. After walking for some time, we finally arrived back at the station where we hugged and bid each other farewell where upon I got back on the train and went home. It wasn't until a few days later that it dawned on me that the very gardens were the cemetery where my father was layed to rest and that it had its own railway station. My wish to say a proper farewell had been fulfilled.

2. I developed pleurosy from a bad flu virus and felt extremely weak. One night as I was laying in bed my head was aching and I felt as if I was drifting away, when I heard a voice say "Don't Worry Mal, we're with you and you'll be okay". I looked to see who was in the room but there was nobody present. I said "Pardon?" and the message was repeated. My recovery was quick and I realised that my guide (angel) had sensed my anxieties and had spoken to me.

It is these experiences and more over the years that have convinced me that there is more to life than just you and me. And that if we just try to believe that our lives are a whole lot of events and circumstances which are meant for our own spiritual learning and that our guides (guardian angels) are with us to encourage and assist us to work through them, we can endure.

Part of our journey may not be so pleasant, we may suffer pain, anxiety, torture (mental or physical) fear and loss, but have you noticed how often you get over it or handle it? Of course the opposite of all these do occur - peace, love, tranquility, patience, laughter and happiness. How could we know one, without the other? Everything has an opposite and for a reason ...sometimes it seems so obscure.

Try not to get too hung up on things and try to realise that things happen for a reason. Whatever it is, if you ask your guides or angels to help you, you will endure...yes you will!

May you find your guardian angel - good luck, try to love all things and peace be with you.
