Active Kidz Tour in July
ABC TV's Active Kidz will tour NSW in July
with a new live show , LETS PARTY! .

The second highest rating Kids TV show Active Kidz will tour NSW in the July school holidays with their new show Lets Party! Active Kidz is an educational and fitness program for kids, Active Kidz are healthy and positive role models who educate children about the importance of healthy lifestyles and fitness in a fun and funky way. The new LIVE show will play eleven venues across the state starting at Glen St Theatre on 3 July and finishing at Mingara Recreational Club on the Central Coast on 17 July.

Since the launch of this exciting, dynamic, music and TV show in March 2004, the Active Kidz vibrant young duo Scott Ehler and Amy Wilkins have motivated children all over Australia, Asia and New Zealand to dance, exercise, eat healthily and feel more positive about movement. The secret to Amy and Scott's success is their cool, funky music - which they've termed 'Aero-Pop' - and their passionate, enthusiastic approach to movement. Both Amy and Scott ensure each show contains a magical fitness formula hidden in upbeat activities that are easily reproduced for children.

In Lets Party! Scott and Amy receive a call from their good friend Ruby. Ruby needs Active Kidz help; she is organising a party with her friends, and really needs a hand. With Ruby, the skipping girl and her sister Sally, skater girl and their best friend James who is a DJ, Scott and Amy manage to sing and dance their way through their busy day. Joining Amy and Scott on stage are additional performers as Ruby, Sally and James.

Amy and Scott are qualified fitness instructors; Amy was studying a degree in Human Movement Studies when she came up with the idea for Active Kidz. She designed, developed and implemented a program which would educate kids about the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle in a fun and funky way. While teaching kids at a local leisure centre, she teamed up with Scott and Active Kidz was born.

Active Kidz has received an overwhelmingly positive response. Active Kidz has been accredited by the NSW Education Department. They are Winners of the 2004 APRA Award for 'Best Children's TV Music' and Scott is the winner of the 2004 'NSW Fitness Professional of the Year' and 2005 'Australian Fitness Professional of the Year'.

"The best thing about Active Kidz is the response you get from the children. Instead of exercise being a chore, it becomes a lot of fun, and something they can't wait to do again', said Amy Wilkins. 'I got involved with fitness because I was an obese child, and when I started to exercise and lose weight I realised just how good it made me feel," Scott said.
