An Go Entre Las Olas

An Go is more than a songwriter or a band, it's an otherworldly immersive experience - a future spirit trapped in a female human body. With narratives around spiritual explorations and surrealism, relatable to Bjork's eccentric use of tech and visuals. Debuting with the release of her single 'Entre las olas', and the announcement of an Augmented Reality Live Session at Colour Club in Melbourne, streaming on October 7th. You can grab a first look at the AR technology, via An Go's Tik Tok & Instagram as she hosts weekly, guided meditation sessions, each Wednesday at 8 PM AEST.

Expanding the immersive and interactive nature of this project, the live stream performance will see An Go use cutting edge technology to add virtual elements to the venue space. Presenting the 5 songs from her DESPACIA I: Dolor EP in a solo voice and guitar format, with spoken poetical introductions and virtual representations of An Go's world. The AR experience was created in collaboration with Gregory Costa, NYC (3D body scans), Joaquina Salgado, Buenos Aires (3D modelling) and Tyson Slithers, Melbourne (sound design).

The single, 'Entre las olas' is An Go's first and last attempt to write romantic songs in traditional lyricism. You'll find the song full of parody and puns like "the (classic romantic) game is over - me". Reflecting the new awareness that's rising in current generations about different gestures and languages for love and relationships, like polyamory or even self-love, and the drive to deconstruct oppressive old conditionings.

"The typical romantic love forms that have been advertised and taught to us through mainstream movies don't work for many people. Somehow, very secretly, I hoped my prince would come and that his love would save me from the pain of human experience, but every time, it didn't. So I chose to learn to love myself first, because nobody taught me that. It's messy, but it's genuine" says An Go.

In her trilogy of tales starting with DESPACIA, An Go unfolds the story of her discovery of human nature. Aiming to release from the imposed physical chains, she finds sounding movements that invite you to look deep in your own human journey along her dream pop and art-rock fantasies and her extraterrestrial voice.
