Anaxilea grew up in Sydney with a passion for music, and a determination to succeed. Her childhood was not an easy one, but she believes that adversity builds character. At the tender age of 16, Anaxilea was forced to leave home. With nowhere to go, Anaxilea lived out her adolescent years on the streets. Her name Anaxilea represents 'Lioness and Warrior". As things finally started to pick up for Anaxilea, she enrolled at Brent Street, one of Australia's top performing arts studios, to refine her skills as a performer. However, shortly after joining, Anaxilea was let go due to financial problems. But that didn't stop the young MC. She knew that there was something more out there for her.

Anaxilea went on to write record her own material and set up various Internet music portals to independently expose her talent to the world. Over the years she has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the Australian hip hop world, gaining recognition for her original brand of up-tempo hip-hop, tinged with a touch of electro/house.

Anaxilea has also developed a reputation for a killer live show, supporting some of the biggest names in international hip-hop. She has toured nationally with the likes of Akon, T-Pain and Outlawz, as well supporting artists like Lupe Fiasco, Public Enemy and Bone Thugs & Harmony. Anaxilea has also been seen opening the show for champion boxers Anthony Mundine and Danny Green, as well as playing a host of VIP parties, including Paris Hilton's New Years Eve bash.

Her latest single -Now That You're Gone' paints a beautiful picture of a love once lost. With it's high-energy beat, soulful r'n'b hook, and Anaxilea distinctive hip-hop flow, -Now That You're Gone' sets a new precedent in Australian hip hop music.
