ARIA Sydney Celebrating Women of Food and Wine

ARIA Sydney is inviting women and men alike to celebrate the women of Australia's food and wine industry over a four course dinner at the harbour front restaurant. Hosted by ARIA Sydney sommelier Georgina Larsson and ARIA Catering head chef Sarah Jewell, the evening will honour the exceptional women making their mark in an industry traditionally dominated by men.

ARIA Sydney has partnered with leading women in the wine industry, including Samantha Connew founder and owner of local label Stargazer Wines, Corrina Wright winemaker and director at Oliver's Taranga Vineyards and Australian Women in Wine Awards, Gwyn Olsen chief winemaker and general manager at Briar Ridge Wines and Sue Bell creator of Bellweather Wines. These women will share their experiences and guests will gain a rare insight into the processes, produce, and success stories of these innovative, industry leading women.

Georgina Larsson has worked closely with ARIA head chef Ben Turner to curate a special food and wine menu, pairing dishes with a selection of rare and special wines. Pairings will include ricotta dumplings, butternut pumpkin puree, toasted seeds matched with the HRB Shiraz Pinot Noir and roasted lamb rack with beetroot and smoked eggplant with Dairy Hill Shiraz.

The event is the brainchild of ARIA Sydney's head sommelier, Matt Dunne who wanted to celebrate the work and achievements of his female counterparts, 'We are beginning to see more and more women make their mark in the industry. Sarah and Georgina are two of the leading personalities at ARIA Sydney and have played a pivotal role in making the venue the institution it is. We see this event as an opportunity to come together, honour and recognise the females in our and all workplaces."
