Bring the family to Sydney Olympic Park this Australia Day and celebrate our national day with a fun-filled schedule of FREE entertainment, kids' activities, Aussie movie-screenings and fireworks.
The festivities at Cathy Freeman Park (opposite ANZ Stadium) on Olympic Boulevard will kick-off at 4.00pm and continue until 10.30pm on Thursday 26 January 2017.
From live music, carnival rides, face-painting, kids' craft and sports clinics, to a traditional Aussie sausage sizzle and international street food, the festivities will include a spectacular Australia Day Fireworks display at 8.50pm, before Red Dog: True Blue is shown under the stars on the big screen at Cathy Freeman Park from 9.00pm.
Also, the night before Australia Day, a special screening of the quintessential Aussie classic film Strictly Ballroom will commence from 8.30pm on Wednesday 25 January, after a dazzling display of live ballroom dancing from 7.00pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from 6.00pm.
Paid parking is available at Sydney Olympic Park, but attendees are encouraged to use public transport.
