It's no secret that Aussies love the Cadbury Creme Egg, but how much exactly?
According to new data released by Cadbury, the long-time Aussie Easter favourite is bringing more joy to the nation than ever with Cadbury Creme Eggs flying off shelves in Australia at more than twice the speed of the same time in 2016.
The data has also revealed some surprising statistics on Australia's love for the Cadbury Creme Egg. For instance, if your hankering for a Cadbury Creme Egg is stronger on a Thursday, you're not alone as the data suggests Aussies are racing to get their hands on the
gooey treat 20 per cent more on Thursdays than hump day or Friday.
When it comes to the time of day, between 5pm and 6pm is the sweet spot for purchasing.
What's more, while the Cadbury Creme Egg has been a favourite for generations, Aussie households occupied by 17-35 year olds are lapping up the tasty snack almost twice as often as Aussie families.
In 2016, Aussies purchased 1.7 million Cadbury Creme Eggs and West Australians were offically the craziest for them, with 1 in 11 West Australians having indulged in the sweet.
If early signs are any indication, 2017 is set for a bumper year and which state emerges on top this year is a story still being eaten!
