Baking Made Easy

Lorraine Pascale seems to be the least likely baker - she was one of the most successful international fashion models of the 1990s. She was the face of several prestigious campaigns including Versace, Donna Karan, Katherine Hamnett, Benetton and Gap and she regularly worked alongside Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell. Lorraine was also the first British black model on the cover of American Elle.

However, now Lorraine is giving her full attention to her real love - cookery. She completed the prestigious Leith's Diploma of Food and Wine course and learnt about every aspect of food from offal to pastry. Patisserie was where her passion lay and she specialised by taking a degree in International Culinary Arts In Pastry, working with Sous and Head Chefs from The Square, Hakaassan and Harrods. She also worked stages in several kitchens including Tom Aitkens, Petrus, The Mandarin Oriental, The Wolseley, The Bluebird, Hummingbird Bakery, Peggy Porschen and Gilgamesh. Her reputation within her new industry is becoming firmly established and this season her pastry delights will be available exclusively at Selfridges as well as at her newly opened cupcakery Ella's Bakehouse in Covent Garden.

Lorraine's TV series will be aired by the BBC in September and will cover all aspects of baking-from cupcake towers to special dinner party meals. Our beautiful TV tie-in will feature cakes, desserts, meals and breads, including Limoncello drizzle cake and spiced apple sauce cake, as well as top tips from Lorraine on how to get perfect results.

Urban, sexy, independent and effortlessly stylish Lorraine will be a breath of fresh air to the world of cookery.
