Barkly Barks

Developed in response to the local community's barking mad dog ownership, Barkly Barks is an annual celebration of canine companionship throughout Melbourne's inner-north. This year, the festival will transform the Square's laneway into a puppy paradise with the biggest program in the events four-year history.

The crowd-favourite Dog Parade will make a triumphant return with categories including Fastest Floof, Most Obedient, Best Costume and Best Owner Dog-elgänger. Registrations open on the day!

Personalised pet accessories, neckerchiefs and stylish seat covers will be available at the doggy mini market as Canine Wellness Kitchen serve up dog-friendly snacks including puppy street food, bone broths and even dog-friendly beer!

Locals can get educated on ownership by dog trainer and behaviourist, Tim Watson from Good Dog Behaviour & Training, presenting tips and tricks for travelling with a furry friend, proper lead control and puppy socialising.
