Australia's best-known Bavarian restaurants are bringing Christmas fun to Sydney this December, with a month of festive brews and feasting, Yuletide themed fun and record breaking get-togethers.
Christmas is a great excuse to get a group together for indulgent feasting and beer drinking, whether it's family, friends or workmates. Groups between 10 to 40 people who visit Munich Brauhaus, The Bavarian and The Bavarian Beerhaüs throughout December will be rewarded with a choice of bonus gifts including a round of schnapps shots or beers, shared platters, doughnut pretzels and other festive offerings, while groups of 50 or more receive a $500 bar tab on the evening. Bier enthusiasts and partygoers who drink 12 steins of any size throughout the month of December will receive a limited-edition t-shirt and go in the draw to win a place on The Ultimate Bavarian Pub Crawl. The winner and three friends will receive flights to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, accommodation, and a Bavarian Christmas dinner experience at Munich Brauhaus in each city.
On Saturday, 8 December, Munich Brauhaus The Rocks invites guests to don their best and most outrageous Santa costumes and help set the record for Sydney's largest gathering of Saint Nicks. To set the record, Munich Brauhaus is calling on as many Sydneysiders as possible to turn up the Christmas cheer and raise their steins in unison at 2pm. The best dressed Saint Nick will also win a $100 bar voucher. A line-up of Christmas inspired games and competitions will take place from 2.30pm, including a gift-wrapping race, pin the nose on Rudolph and Santa-style limbo.
End the working week on a festive note with the Bavarian restaurants' Festive Fridays. Munich Brauhaus, The Bavarian and The Bavarian Beerhaüs will deck their halls, jingle their bells and amp up the holiday fun every Friday throughout December. There will be Christmas tunes, carols at some restaurants and DJs at others, a touch of tinsel and in true Christmas spirit staff will pour classic Bavarian brews in their finest Santa outfits.
Mums, dads and Santa's little helpers are invited to celebrate the holiday season at Munich Brauahus and The Bavarian every Sunday throughout December. There will be free face-painting, Christmas colouring activities and children under 12 can eat free from the kids' menu. Santa will visit every Sunday between 12pm and 2pm to take photos and grant Christmas wishes.
Munich Brauhaus, The Bavarian and The Bavarian Beerhaüs are open as usual on Christmas Day. Each are offering four Christmas set menus in addition to a la carte options.
