Chifley Hotel Wollongong is excited to launch its "Big Kids in the Kitchen" Series, an interactive series of cooking sessions set in Wollongong's newest kitchen, C Grill Restaurant. At the helm of the kitchen series is Executive Chef, Peter Washbourne, who inspired C Grill's cuisine from the start with his passion for prime meat, fresh local produce and mouthwatering desserts.
Teaming up with executive chefs from a variety of culinary backgrounds, the series is designed around one theme a month in form of interactive classes.
One Saturday a month, patrons are invited to get involved, ask questions, discuss and learn with a passionate professional whilst putting the gained knowledge into practice right there and then, creating a grazing lunch which is then to be enjoyed with matching alcoholic beverages.
From learning secrets of selecting quality meat and preparing marination's, getting some insights on the cultivation growth, processing, pressing and tasting of the variety of oils over experiencing master artisian and chocolatier, Lyn Graham, from Kiama Cacao when sharing her passion and knowledge of the indulgent Belgium Chocolate... Patrons will leave the kitchen savvy, enthusiastic and certainly satisfied.

Chef Saju Rajappan, a native of Goa and Kerala regions of India, will demonstrate and discuss his cultural heritage on Indian family cooking and dishes that can easily be replicated for that dinner party or special occasion.
