Fresh-faced Swedish pop artist Boy In Space has been making waves in 2020 with the release of acclaimed trap-pop singles "Caroline" and "U N Eye", which have seen him hit over 52 million streams globally. He has also featured on streaming sensation SHY Martin's single "Still The Same", which has hit 2 million streams of its own.
Boy In Space has followed up this huge start to the year with a special track for fans; covering the classic anti-war anthem by Alphaville, "Forever Young". The track is the perfect choice to encapsulate the celluloid nostalgia that imbues all of Boy In Space's music, and this cover showcases both his unique falsetto range and his delicately layered production style.
"This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It was written in such a crazy time for the world as a way to remind people to live in the moment and live life to the fullest," said Boy In Space. "They were dealing with the threat of nuclear bombs, today we are all dealing with a global pandemic. The song has a message that is timeless for all generations and I'm proud to join the ever-growing list of talented artists who have covered it."
Robin Lundbäck's pure talent has earned him close to 40 million streams on Spotify alone since his debut in 2018, and placed him among
st the ranks of bright rising pop stars like label-mates LAUV and FINNEAS, and touring buddy Alec Benjamin.
Boy In Space has also recently been announced as the support act to streaming sensation Jeremy Zucker on the European leg of his 'love is not dying' tour.
Second single of 2020, "U N Eye", was not only acclaimed by Boy In Space's devoted fanbase, but hit 740k streams, and was included on more than 25 New Music Friday playlists worldwide. He has also released a moving live version of the track on his YouTube channel, which has already received over 70'000 views.
This track followed the release of fan-favourite "Caroline", an earworm of a skittering trap-pop track which received praise from Billboard (US), Dujour Magazine, Wonderland Magazine and TMRW Magazine, among others.
With roots firmly planted in Swedish pop, and influences stretching from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Toto, Boy In Space has a unique sound that fearlessly amalgamates genres. Despite having not yet released an EP or an album, his hugely devoted fan base is a testament to the universal appeal of his music and personality. Heading into 2020 with millions of streams on Spotify and acclaim from Paper, Dujour, Just Jared, Ones To Watch, Spindle, and Wonderland, all within a year since his independent emergence in 2018, Boy In Space is set for world domination.
