Brielle Marie Only Human
The siren known as Brielle Marie has released her new flagship single, titled Only Human on her own indie label Brielle Marie Music Group label. Brielle Marie's latest track is indeed soulful, as well as jazzy, classy, and more sultry than can be imagined without actually hearing her. An introduction for most music fans to this up and coming singer-songwriter, Only Human is a track that Ms. Marie will always be remembered for, though its obvious quality ensures that the world will be hearing much more from her in the very near future and for years to come. The sound Only Human is Melancholy, it gives you absolute chills, yet poppy, somewhat reminiscent of Those classic records you listen to for a lifetime. Marie's natural singing voice is crystal clear, light, airy, youthful, and untrammelled by arrogance or pomp. Listening to her sing makes the rest of the music blend into the background, though it is itself packed with rhythm and groove in its own right, and matches her mood beautifully.
Brielle Marie started singing in her church choir when she was very young, where she first developed a heartfelt passion for music. She names as main artistic influences the likes of John Mayer, Elton John, and The Beatles, as well as Bill Withers and the late Amy Winehouse, whose musical tone she shares, many marvellous attributes. Regarding the themes of her music, Marie says that she writes songs with meaning and motivation, real-life music that can relate to people, and situations that happen in everyday life. I try to write music that is inspirational and comes from the heart. Inspiration is a key component to the power of Marie's music, in fact. The name Brielle actually means 'God is my strength.' she writes. I want a positive influence and vibe to come out in my music, as well as through myself. I love inspiring people through music as well as being inspired by others through music. Her characteristic modesty shines when discussing her art. She continues to say, I believe that God has truly blessed me with my life, and with my talent and passion for music. I am incredibly thankful for that, and for everyone God has placed in my life to help me along my journey as a music artist.
Fortunately, music fans can enjoy the newest leg of her musical journey as Only Human by Brielle Marie is available online worldwide. Brielle is also doing a charity event for The Autism Society of America for her new single "Only Human." 20% of all proceeds go towards The Autism Society America. Buy the single here
Interview with Brielle Marie
Question: How would you describe your music?
Brielle Marie: I would describe my music as a more pretty Pop sound, with hints of Jazz/Reggae, with Melodic melodies. I have songs that are such fun/feel good music, and songs like "Only Human" that are more serious, that are ballads.
Question: Why is it important for you to support the Autism Society of America?
Brielle Marie: Well my older brother has Autism, hand I know firsthand what it's like to be around someone with autism, so it is something really close to my heart. Many people don't understand that people with autism with never have a normal life; they will never have the same opportunities that most people have that are so called -normal'. So The Autism Society of America I felt would be a good choice to get people to be more aware of the syndromes others have, and to get others involved. My Dad always reminded me growing up to always be appreciative of everything because I was born normal, and blessed, other's haven't, and there's nothing they can really do to change that, that's just who they are.
Question: Did you have any pre-conceived ideas about the music industry?
Brielle Marie: I think the music industry is definitely something hard to get into, and when you finally make it in, you have to make sure you stay in. There are many talented people in the world but very few people make it, I've learned that it's about 10% talent, and 90% Work Ethic, you got to work hard to get the things you want.
Question: Do you write your own songs? What's your inspiration?
Brielle Marie: I do write my own songs, I write stuff that I feel in that moment, stuff I'm going through, If I'm feeling happy one day and blessed I'll write about it, or if I'm feeling lonely or just went through a break up I'll write about it. You have to write stuff your feeling so you can put your whole soul into that song, if you don't feel the lyrics your singing how can you expect others to feel the music?
Question: What music/artists do you listen to when you are not playing your own?
Brielle Marie: I listen to John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Estelle, Indie Arie, in my car right now I'm listening to Usher, his Confessions Album, which I love, and I listen to some 90's music too like Lauryn Hill or Jodeci.
Question: What's next? Tour/Album/Single?
Brielle Marie: I'm working on my EP currently right now, and my single "Only Human" The music video is out and It just recently got put on iTunes, but I want more people to hear the song, so I am focusing more solely on my single right now and marketing that, but I'm also working on other songs for my EP as well.
Question: Was there a moment you contemplated throwing in the towel?
Brielle Marie: There has been a few times yes, it gets very stressful sometimes but I never quit because music is something I'm very passionate about and I love doing it, and sometimes you have to sacrifice, and put your blood, sweat and tears into something when you really love it.
Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?
Brielle Marie: I prefer performing live, recording is cool but sometimes you have to sing the same like or part over and over again and it starts to get monotonous, but when you are performing live, you can get in your element and sing the song straight through so you can feel the song more.
Question: What/who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?
Brielle Marie: I want to be in the music industry because I would always see others girls making it through shows like American Idol or The Voice and I felt I was just as talented as them and I wasn't just going to sit around and let my talent go to waste. My dad always inspired me to Follow my Dreams and Follow what I love, and don't let time just pass you by before it's too late to chase your dreams. You have to take chances and risks and not be afraid to do so.
Question: What is the biggest challenge you have faced along the way to your musical success?
Brielle Marie: I would say the work ethic needed has been a challenge, giving up spending time with friends and family to work on my music dream has been challenging, but I also understand you have to give up a few things for success.
Question: What's a typical day like?
Brielle Marie: I typically wake up and start working on a fresh new song or idea in the morning because that is when the creative mind is at its best. I work out in the mornings as well to get my energy up and then I Continue to work whether it's on marketing for my single or working on the piano/vocals trying to per-fect a song. I usually have a beat or work with my producer and then to that beat I'll come up with melodies and lyrics that fit the vibe of the song.
Question: What has been your favourite part of becoming a music artist?
Brielle Marie: My favourite part is when I complete a song. After I have recorded the song and it is completely mixed/mastered it is an exciting feeling for me because then I can show others the new Material I have, and show them my finished work. I love working with other artists and musicians as well, it's fun to collaborate and to have other creative minds involved with what you're doing.
Question: If you could collaborate with another artist, who would it be?
Brielle Marie: I really love John Mayer so I would probably collaborate with him; I love his sultry voice and smooth melodies, as well as his acoustic sound.
Question: Do you have a website fans can visit?
Brielle Marie: Yes it's
www.briellemarie.com Question: Can you tell us 5 things required for a happy healthy & enjoyable life?
Brielle Marie: I would say if you want to be happy and healthy then you need to first love yourself, you can't love anyone else if you don't love yourself, take care of yourself, eat right, exercise, don't be lazy; being lazy is cool now and then, but you have to get up and go to achieve the things you want in life.
Don't be afraid to take risks, and always be yourself, nobody wants to be around somebody fake, they want to be around the real you, so don't be afraid to put yourself out there and show people that side of you, whether your goofy, weird, sarcastic, or whatever it is you have to show people the real you and people will be drawn to you more, plus you'll be more happy being yourself.
Question: What message would you like your music to say to your fans?
Brielle Marie: I want my music to inspire fans, to have fans go through a different emotion for each song, whether it's a super happy song and it makes you feel good, something you would ride around in your car too, or something that would make you almost cry when you hear it. I write music from my heart and soul, music to inspire others, to have others feel the same emotion I felt when I wrote the song.
