Buddy Ryan Cherry Oak

In anticipation of his sophomore EP 'May Eleven' out November 1st, Buddy Ryan today offers a third taste in the form of the reflective and smooth 'Cherry Oak ft. Jo Jodun'.

'Cherry Oak's' sparse arrangement gives room for Buddy's lyricism to breathe, showcasing the young artists incredible range across rap and RNB. Melting into the beat with sleek production 'Cherry Oak' discusses Buddy's desires to find someone to share his life with and his need to let go of the material issues. Buddy explains "Every artist is familiar with the times when you're trying to write or be creative but there are just too many things running though your mind. The basis of the song started from there. The rest was just me running with the narrative and making sure the melody is on point".

The single comes from his sophomore EP 'May Eleven' out this November documenting Buddy's life experiences and wisdom, and combines his penchant for rap and soul music. It also features his previously released singles 'Bad Feelin' and 'Sixweeks ft. Mark Echols' which caught the attention of Cool Accidents, Backyard Opera, Wickedd Childd and Hit Up Ange alongside an add to SYN Radio.

2017 saw the release of Buddy's underrated debut EP 'Grey' which centred around the downtempo single of the same name. Using thought provoking lyrics as his vehicle, Buddy talks through pain and his personal journey whilst hoping for peace.

Sink into 'Cherry Oak' and prepare for a soulful onslaught with the upcoming 'May 11'.
