This is not a typo, Bunnings is celebrating the launch of its Click & Collect offer in Victoria by shouting Melbournians free snags at Federation Square on Tuesday 23 July from 7:00am – 6:00pm.
After the successful rollout across Tasmania, the Victorian launch marks the next phase of the Click & Collect offer becoming available nationally by the end of 2019.
Fans of a snag are invited to experience the one-day-only Click & Collect pop-up where they can collect a free snag by clicking and sharing a picture using #tagforasnag.
City dwellers can also walk Bunnings' virtual aisles to shop the Click & Collect range of more than 35,000 items as well as create a stylish DIY macramé pot hanger and purchase an indoor plant for the office or home.
Mike Schneider, Bunnings' Managing Director, is excited to see Melbournians join in on the celebrations, experience the Click & Collect offer and enjoy a free snag at the same time.
"We are bringing our customers even more convenience with the new Click & Collect offer. We know shoppers love coming into our stores for our team's expertise and of course a snag but allowing customers to browse and shop online to then duck in quickly to pick up their items, when they are short on time, is another way we can service our customers even better," said Mike.
In addition, award winning restaurateur and renowned Australian chef Shane Delia has created a recipe to add a unique twist to the iconic Bunnings snag, which he'll be serving up for a limited time at the Click & Collect pop-up store.
"I've always been a fan of the Bunnings sausage sizzle and I often find myself heading down to my local store and picking up a snag. When I was approached to create my own Bunnings sausage recipe, I was instantly inspired by smokey eggplant BBQs. I have simply added my own unique twist with a combination of middle eastern flavours which remind me of my family's cooking growing up. I hope people visiting the Click & Collect store will enjoy my exclusive creation", said Shane.
Bunnings will be encouraging customers to click a photo and share it on Instagram using #tagforasnag to not only get their free snag, but to raise funds for Melbourne City Mission. For every Click & Collect photo shared on Instagram, Bunnings will make a $2.50 donation to the charity.
Collection tins and a cashless payment system will also be available on the day for those opting to purchase a snag or donate.
The Click & Collect offer is now available in 74 Bunnings stores across Tasmania and Victoria. Customers can now shop with confidence by purchasing products online and collecting them at a time that is convenient.
